• About AD/HD
Attention Defict/Hyperactivity Disorder is a neruo-biological condition affecting approximately -
5-7% of the population. Although it has been traditionally associated with hyperactive boys, we now know that hyperactivity need not be present. AD/HD, both hyperactive and inattentive types affect boys and girls. We also know that while the hyperactivity that may be present during childhood may diminish after puberty, AD/HD does, in fact, last throught adulthood. • Articles
I was diagnosed at the age of 34 and immediately tried to read everything I could get my hands on about adults with AD/HD. I was dissapointed at what little there was. Still filled with questions, I began to write on my own. I did it more to work through the struggles I was faced with. One of my articles was published in Attention! Magazin, which was nice, but what happened afterwardwas much more satisfying. I began to get e-mails from other who faced the same struggles I faced on a regular basis. There is great comfort in knowing that you are not alone.
